From Tel'Laerad Wiki

The Tel'Laerad Forums provide discussion boards to use in conjunction with our IRC network and other services. They give a slower speed of communication, without needing to ever be around at the same time as someone to talk; as such, they're useful for organising the times for RPs between players, posting requests for help and suggestions, and just general chat at a slower pace. They operate off the Simple Machines Forums software, 2 Beta 4.

Once you have registered through either the wiki or the forums, and logged in through the forums, you can simply navigate from the forum board index to the board you wish to post in or read, and either click on a thread to read or post in, or click "New Topic" to create a new thread. Inside a thread, you can click "Reply" to be taken to a full post writing page, or use the quick reply textbox on the same page, in which you can type a post rapidly. Different boards have different topics; you must stay within the topics for each board when making your posts, in addition to following the global Tel'Laerad rules, as described on our Rules page.

Edited posts can also be used as a place to store information, but using a wiki page for this is more sensible; it is what the wiki is designed for.
